CAMIRE Estadística y Análisis SL is a Spanish consultancy company with its headquarters established in Pasaia, close to San Sebastian, Spain. Furthermore CAMIRE has a registered branch office in Luxembourg facilitating the collaboration with the EU Services in Luxembourg and Brussels when executing projects for the EU. CAMIRE has an extensive working experience with the EU Commission and in this Framework good working contacts with the EU member states, but also EFTA and candidate (and PHARE) countries.

The technical expertise supported by well-qualified in-house personnel and an extensive network of specialists easy to mobilise throughout Europe covers a wide range of different tasks and economic and statistical fields. Since a number of years CAMIRE is involved in all standard production activities in statistics starting with the collection of data, through database management and organisation, statistical and/or economic analysis and dissemination. CAMIRE undertakes a number of research activities and/or feasibility studies in various fields of statistics and economics.

Currently, CAMIRE is involved in work covering fields such as science and technology statistics, compliance of PHARE countries with European statistical systems, enterprise statistics (Small and Medium Size Enterprises, Structural Business Statistics, Short-term indicators, etc.), knowledge society, competitiveness and others. In the field of S&T, one area of development has been the stocks and flows of Human Resources in Science and Technology (HRST), by sector, age, gender etc., where studies have been conducted for a number of years. For the stocks, these have concentrated on using the CLFS to develop internationally comparable indicators using harmonised definitions. More recently, CAMIRE has been contracted to develop indicators on the mobility of HRST (which constitutes one part of the flows), first of all on the feasibility of constructing internationally comparable indicators (using the CLFS) and subsequently on developing those indicators.
